Are you really a beginner?-A question asked before GMAT prep programs.

Updated: Feb 3, 2022

"The total GMAT score ranges from 200 to 800 in increments of 10. In this range, the mean score is 560. This score is in the 41st percentile. In other words, 41% of the people who write the test score less than 560.

If you move up by one standard deviation, which is 120, you reach a score of 680. And if you move down by one standard deviation, you reach a score of 440.

Based on these values, I would define a beginner as someone who’s close to 440. If you’re closer to 560, you’re at the intermediate level. And if you’re closer to 680, you’re at the advanced level. [You can get more information from GMAT prep website www.gogogmat.com]"
