Prepare for the first test in a month with a score of 760. Find a way to strictly implement it.

During the test preparation, I found a lot of valuable experience and information on the website, and it has been more than a month since I finished the GMAT test (V42, Q50). I hope that the experience of preparing for the exam can help those who are still anxious and struggling. Don't be lazy, don't give up, come on!

Preliminary preparation/exam preparation schedule

I did not sign up for any GMAT remedial classes, I am more used to learning at my own pace, and belong to the category with strong executive ability. If you are not confident in your planning ability or self-control ability, you can try to follow my steps below (it's useless to just look at it): first spend about three days to understand the question types of the GMAT test (OG Do a few sets of each type of question first, feel the test site and difficulty, and probably have an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses to make a study plan later), test process (how to sign up, transfer rules, pants change rules, and the order of test subjects ,Grading). After you have a basic understanding of the above content, you can start to look at the experience posts on the website. You don’t need to do too much, and you don’t need to copy other people’s methods. Pick those experience posts that match your initial experience. The most important thing for you. Sort out the key review materials mentioned in these posts, and choose the key points to read according to your own time (I will mention which materials I used later, I think it is completely enough for me personally). It is strongly recommended to read the original text. Everyone's notes have their own focus and logic, which may not be suitable for you (you may not necessarily understand...). In addition, because I took the IELTS test first (IELTS 8, Level 6 620+), so I did not spend a whole block of time to memorize the words for the GMAT alone after reciting the IELTS words. I personally think that if the goal is 700~720, it is OK , the probability of unfamiliar words will not affect your achievement of goals, if it is more than 720, you may need to recite words or read foreign journals as appropriate according to your own vocabulary.

After understanding the work in the early stage, you can start to make plans, because my actual implementation is basically the same as the plan, so I will not repeat the plan, just put the learning process of each subject in chronological order and sort it out!

CR

Because I thought the logic questions were more interesting and simpler when I initially did the OG (later slapped my face), so I decided to start with this part. My method is to use 1 minute and 45 seconds for each question in the early stage and time it strictly in units of the title (training your time awareness, while avoiding looking back or distracting yourself), and finishing it in groups of 10 within 20 minutes in the later stage. The recommended materials and order of use are OG----summarize the wrong questions you have done, you can write down the logical inspection points (whether it is strengthening or weakening or assumption is essentially looking for GAP)----logical Bible( This book must be read carefully, take notes systematically, and review the wrong questions according to the categories inside) ---- OG Chinese Volume---- Problem 300. My logic is relatively weak, so it took a long time to pass the logic for the first time. Personally, I think that the logic is to understand the questions and master the routines (perhaps this is the so-called "logic"). About 8 days, 5~7 hours of effective study time per day.

SC

In fact, before I took the G test, I always depended on language sense from small to large, but I had a basic grammatical awareness (subject-verb-object-definite complement, relative pronouns, and logical subjects can be distinguished). The methods provided here may only be suitable for people with basic grammatical concepts. friend. The test preparation method is also 1 minute and 20 seconds in the early stage and timed in units of questions. In the later stage, 10 groups of 10 are completed in about 14 minutes. The official analysis of each option and each question must be carefully read (but some explanations are written inexplicably and inconsistently. If you are really confused, you can search the Manhattan forum for answers, sometimes it is easier to understand and accept). Materials and order of use: Manhattan SC (take notes) -----OG (take notes on the answer, don't be too horny this time, if you really don't understand, you can make a mark and put it first) - RON online class (Twice the speed + fast forward for the unimportant parts, 1.5 times the speed for the important parts, read all of them, and take notes while watching) ---- OG language volume (take notes on the answers) ---- complete medium and high difficulty (Personally, I feel that the analysis is too much, and it takes too much time to check one question by one. It is unnecessary, and the time is not enough. It is not recommended) ---- Difficulty 300. SC is very important, and the knowledge points are relatively scattered, but I personally think that the focus is not on quantity but on grasping the main problem (because you can't remember all the collocations, but parallelism, subject-verb agreement, and semantics are all things that can be changed as long as you master the rules. Zong's main test site!). SC is worth spending more time, the first time is about 7 days, and the effective learning time is the same as above.

RC

In fact, I have always suspected that I have a dyslexia. Since I was a child, I was slower to read comics than others, and it was easy to get distracted and look back. These should be avoided and overcome as much as possible in the process of training. There are many genres of reading methods on the CD. I have tried some of them, but I feel that there is no need to forcefully use the skills. The essence is to understand the article. Therefore, the time I spend reading the article will be relatively long, the short 3 minutes, the long 4~5 minutes, and the question is about 1 minute in the later stage. The main technique is to spend a few seconds after reading a paragraph and think about what the paragraph said. This seems to take a lot of time, but it actually saves time for later positioning. After reading the question directly, you can choose from memory (force yourself to summarize and also You can avoid mind wandering, you can’t conclude that you are wandering!). Materials and order of use: OG---OG language volume----Look back at the wrong questions and overtime questions, and summarize the mistakes that you often make (personally, I think this is a summary of the problem-solving skills, rather than sticking to a certain article. For details, you can refer to my reading summary document later. It is actually very brief, but it is very useful to read and remind yourself not to make these mistakes before doing the question!) ---- Problem 300. About 5 days.

math

I was a science student in high school, and mathematics was the most hip-stretching subject (the math teacher focused on). I learned French in college, and I said goodbye to mathematics, so I basically forgot about mathematics when I decided to take the G test. In the early days of preparing for the test, I was quite nervous, but it turns out that for Chinese people, mathematics should never be an obstacle to your 700. Materials and order: Chen Xiangdong Mathematics (scan the knowledge points and the corresponding English nouns, some theorems and properties are beyond the outline, don't be too entangled)----OG (20 groups, each group is OK within 40 minutes)--- - Do the silence about a week before the exam. Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary to spend too much time on mathematics. It’s good to recall the basic knowledge points, have seen the basic question types, and know the basic vocabulary, because the problem will not be a problem of thinking or intelligence (yes, it’s cruel). The question will not improve. 4 days or so.

Mock test + writing + IR

The first round of the above is over. However, the revolution is far from successful! Because the previous training is divided into modules, you may have forgotten what the logic test centers are after finishing mathematics. At this time, your error record and preliminary summary will come into play! Also repeat all the wrong questions in a timed manner (note that every subject needs to be done every day at this time, to train the ability to quickly change thinking), and do a set of mock tests every day (I think common free mock test websites can do it Now, I have done about 4 sets of prep in total, and 2 sets of Manhattan, which are basically 760~800. Except for one serious distraction, it was only 660. Once again, it shows the importance of the test status! Be sure to enter the state! Active reading, thinking, reasoning , instead of passively choosing the answer!), after the mock test, you should also sort out the wrong questions and review them before the test. Then when you are tired at night, you can work on a writing template. You don’t need to memorize it by rote. Just remember the fixed format of the beginning and the end and the common rebuttal points. I haven't finished the IR50 questions... But I have been exposed to every type of question. Although the IR score is not very important, if you are very demanding of yourself, it is recommended to skip some overly complicated questions during the exam. , because you don't need to be right on every question to get full marks, and use your time most efficiently. These add up to about 6 days.

Unconsciously, it has been a lot of long-winded, and I don't know if you have the patience to read it. Originally, I wanted to write about the specific skills of each subject in detail, but the space was limited and my time was limited, so I just put my summary and notes when preparing for the test (it is relatively rough, there may be errors, everyone can refer to it rationally) ~ The above mentioned I have attached the information to the back. In general, the most important thing in preparing for the GMAT is to summarize and think more. It is not necessarily time-consuming and laborious to pull out forms and write documents. The important thing is to think about it. Blindly brushing the questions and sorting out mechanically is just self-moving. When preparing for the exam, you will be a little boring and lonely, and you will not feel your progress, but you will be pleasantly surprised if you persist until the end and have a clear conscience. I'll share it here for the time being. If you have any questions about how to prepare for the test, you can privately message me or leave a message (if it's a specific question, I'm sorry for not answering it for you, because it's been a month, and some knowledge points to me I forgot, and I can't be sure I can give the correct answer), I will reply regularly~

Now that you've seen this, take it a step further! Hope everyone can go where they want to go! Bon courage!
